Michael Wischmeyer brings nearly two decades of hands-on experience in construction, real estate development, and property investment. Since 2007, he has built a diverse background encompassing purchasing distressed properties, ground-up residential construction, commercial development, note acquisition, financing, architectural and engineering design, cash flow projections, investor relations, and project budgets.

Michael began his construction career working with Smith Construction, where from 2007 to 2012 he was involved in the construction of eight single-family homes and two duplexes. From 2012 to 2017, he expanded into larger and more complex residential and commercial developments.

His experience extends well beyond the construction site. Michael has been involved in virtually every stage of the development process — from identifying and acquiring properties through entitlement, design, financing, construction, completion, and ongoing operations. This comprehensive background gives him a practical understanding of how design, construction, budget, schedule, and long-term property performance must work together from the beginning of a project.

Michael also founded HVR, purchasing and renovating properties specifically for the Lake Tahoe vacation rental market. His projects emphasize spacious, open-concept living areas, durable high-quality finishes, and thoughtful layouts designed around how owners and guests actually use a mountain home. That experience has provided valuable insight into not only how to build a property, but how design and construction decisions affect its long-term usability, maintenance, marketability, and investment performance.

Over the course of his career, Michael has developed strong working relationships with architects, engineers, surveyors, attorneys, designers, contractors, subcontractors, superintendents, lenders, investors, and local professionals throughout the Lake Tahoe region. His extensive local experience and established relationships allow him to effectively coordinate the many moving parts required to take complex construction and development projects from concept to completion.
